Community Healing Gardens PAST PROGRAMS:

61st Street Elementary School, South Central

Planted ten organic garden beds and seven organic trees throughout the main courtyard. More than 1,000 students and teachers jumped in to bring these boxes to life and learned how to care for their new food beds and orchard. To date they are still thriving and children are snacking on fresh veggies and fruits.

Bradley Milken Family Source Center, Watts

Collaborated with The Bradley Milken Family Source Center in Watts to host a planting day.  It was a productive, educational and fun-filled event that resulted in six garden beds and four fruit trees for the families to enjoy, hopefully for years to come.

CHG educators taught the center and its faculty about maintaining, watering and harvesting their beautiful new gardens.
